AFCA stats, advice, death benefit processing, governance, boards - who needs a life when you have all these to talk about?! Plus all the news and views you need.
Today I'm at the the FSC Advice event. Hopefully I'm having a great time, learning new things, finding new ideas and meeting new people. I'll report back next week :).
Speaking of events, last week we had a fantastic CREW (Compliance and Risk Executive Women) webinar on the topic of APRA Governance Reforms, where we were joined by guest speakers Silvana Wood (Partner) and Chris Whittaker (Lawyer) from Gilbert + Tobin.
Did you know that of the 1500 directors of financial services firms in Australia, 200 have been in their role for more than 10 years? APRA is suggesting that 10 years is long enough, and frankly I agree. And if a board can't do without one particular board member after 10 years, then I would be wondering about their succession planning... just sayin'!
On a (possibly!) less contentious note, Episode 3 of That Super Show dropped yesterday. Details below, alongside all the latest news, views and events - lots of great things coming up!

Sarah
