PDSs - why do we bang on about them so much? Plus, making FAR real, only a few conferences left this year, are we there yet?!

 Hi There

As you know, it's PDS central here at Mayflower. Which makes people laugh, because really, who wants to talk about PDSs (or TMDs etc)?!?!

The thing is though, over the last few years, the time needed for disclosure has just increased exponentially, which means that the 'business building' stuff, like launching new products or thinking about how to serve members better, is going by the wayside.

And that, my friends, is why we love talking PDSs.

Because if you can turn your PDS production into a well oiled, risk managed machine, then you've got the time and brain space to think about other things, get new ideas to market faster (especially if they involve new/changed disclosure) and generally have more fun at work.

Anyway, that's my thought for this week :)
