Hi There

Day 2 of The Future of Superannuation Fund Administration Forum in Sydney today. I'm moderating a session on Death and Disability Claims this morning, and Matt is chairing a session on Digital Advice.

Neil and I recorded a episode of thatsuper.show this morning (at 8am yikes!) which we'll have for you in a week or so.

Happy hump day!

Regards

Sarah

PS: We've just launched our in-person Sydney CREW meet up - Weds, 24 June 2026. Deets below. We only do this once per year so get it in your diary STAT.

THOUGHT OF THE WEEK

When do you finish work each day? And if you say 5pm or 6pm, you're probably kidding yourself, because when you 'finish' is more about when you stop 'thinking about' work than when you leave the office.

And what do we call thinking without doing? Ruminating. Ugh. So, what to do?

First of all, you need to tell your rumination engine* to please sit quietly until tomorrow, and secondly, help your brain get into 'not at work' mode with a ritual. For instance, you might play your favourite music, make something arty or crafty, play an instrument, work out - just try to NOT just stare at a different sized screen, because your poor brain gets confused.

For more about this idea, you can listen to this excellent Coaching for Leaders podcast on Apple podcasts, or your podplayer of choice.

* You can even give it a name, and tell it to back off - lol. Mine is called Steve.

IMPLEMENTING NEW TECHNOLOGY

Implementing Technology

Why is it so hard to implement technology? Most technology projects don't fail because of the system itself, but because critical processes and and exceptions are not clearly understood beforehand. In our latest blog, our Operations Director, Jenny Calcott, explains why implementing new technology in PDS teams can easily embed existing ambiguity instead of resolving it. Read more here.
